Cushion Tire Warehouse Lift trucks:
These lift trucks have a tighter turning radius that their pneumatic tire counterparts, but operation is limited to hard smooth surfaces. Internal combustion lift trucks (propane, gasoline, and diesel) will generate more power than electric lift trucks, and move quicker over long distances. Ease of refueling is also an advantage with I.C. lift trucks. Propane lift trucks can be used indoors where there is some ventilation. Capacities range from 3,000lbs-100,000lbs.
Pneumatic Tire Lift trucks:
Pneumatic lift trucks are equipped with air filled pneumatic tires that are typically used outside on yard surfaces such as crushed concrete, packed gravel, or stabilized limestone. Pneumatic tire lift trucks are not recommended to be used on loose dirt, except on a very limited basis, as long as it's well packed and not muddy. Pneumatic tire lift trucks can also be used on hard, smooth surfaces such as concrete. Lift trucks with pneumatic tires have a larger turning radius than cushion warehouse lift trucks. Internal combustion pneumatic lift trucks (propane, gasoline, and diesel) will generate more power than electric lift trucks, and move quicker over long distances. Ease of refueling is also an advantage with I.C. lift trucks. warehouse tire lift trucks and liftrucks. Due to their capacity Internal combustion pneumatic liftrucks can be used in a wide variety of applications. Capacities from 3,000lbs-105,000lbs.
Three-Wheel Lift trucks:
Three-wheel electric lift trucks primarily have cushion tires, and are used mainly indoors. These lift trucks are sometimes preferred over four-wheel lift trucks due to their tighter turning radius. Three-wheel lift trucks are good for unloading trucks, and moving pallets and other loads throughout a warehouse or on smooth surfaces where maneuverability and space requirements make four-wheel lift trucks inefficient. Electric lift trucks have the lowest overall operating cost. Capacities range from 3,000lbs – 5,000lbs.
Four-Wheel Electric Lift trucks:
Four-wheel electric warehouse lift trucks come with either cushion or pneumatic tires. Electric lift trucks fitted with cushion tires are mainly indoor lift trucks that run on smooth surfaces. Since electric lift trucks do not release emissions they work well where ventilation is poor or in a sanitary environment. Electric lift trucks have the lowest overall operating cost. Capacities range from 3,000lbs-30,000lbs.
Reach Trucks:
These electric lift trucks are commonly referred to as narrow-aisle lift trucks. These lift trucks are designed to rack pallets on smooth surfaces. Single-reach lift trucks can extend the distance of one pallet. Double-reach lift trucks can extend the distance of two pallets. Outriggers on the front of the lift truck support the weight of the load. Capacities range from 2,500lbs – 5,500lbs.
Order-Pickers:
These electric lift trucks are commonly referred to as order-pickers, stock-pickers or man-up lift trucks. The rider stands on an elevating platform along with the forks, so they may rise with the lift truck to select a load. These units can be used in very narrow aisles. Capacities are normally 3,500lbs.
Turret Lift trucks:
These lift trucks can be used in very narrow aisles and employ a rotating mast. The masts of these lift trucks rotate 90 degrees so that the operator can pick up a load from either side without turning the base of the lift truck. Capacities range from 3,000lbs – 8,000lbs.
Stand-up Counter Balance Lift trucks:
These electric lift trucks are well-suited for the quick loading and unloading of trucks, in conditions were the rider might frequently need to mount and dismount from the lift truck. These lift trucks are used primarily indoors on smooth surfaces. Capacities range from 3,000lbs – 5,500lbs.
Side-loaders:
Side-loaders are lift trucks used for narrow-aisle work, where space between racks is limited. These lift trucks load or unload from one side only.
Empty Container Handlers:
These large sized pneumatic tire lifts range in capacity from 33,000lbs to 45,000 lbs capacity. Empty container handlers are designed to efficiently lift 20' and 40' empty ocean containers, or refrigerated containers, and stack them one on top of another. Empty container handlers have the ability to stack containers 3 to 7 high. Side pick empty container handlers have an attachment instead of forks that's hydraulically expandable from 20' to 40' depending on the container's length being handled. These integral spreader bar attachments have twist locks that lock the container to the attachment for handling purposes.
Loaded Container Handlers:
Very Large sized pneumatic tire lifts such as loaded container handlers range in capacity from 80,000lbs to 105,000 lbs. Designed to efficiently lift 20 foot and 40 foot fully loaded ocean containers, or refrigerated containers, loaded container handlers can then stack the containers one on top of another. Depending on the loaded container handlers' lift height a loaded container handler may have the ability to stack containers 3 to 5 high, or more. Top-pick loaded container handlers have an attachment instead of forks. This attachment is hydraulically expandable from 20 feet to 40 feet depending on the container's length being handled. Integral spreader bar attachments such as these have twist locks that lock down the container for handling purposes
